Websites to help you search for homes.

When it comes time for you to buy a home or even consider it there are so many questions you may have. Where do I start? How do I find a home without wasting too much time searching? How do I know it’s a safe neighborhood? Ever wonder what the house looks like in perspective to the yard and road?

I have come up with some places to start, finding a home can be an adventure or perhaps a Safari weeding through all the bad stuff to find the right spot.

You want to settle in and put your roots somewhere yet are afraid that you may want to uproot as soon as you get there. Take all of your uncertainties and start your leap of faith with these websites that I have found to be very helpful.

  1. Live Search

This website allows you to get a real bird’s eye view of the area that you are considering. It’s nice to peek before taking a trip there.

  2. Zillow.com

This website allows you to see an aerial map of the land with houses and the value of neighboring homes for your own comparison. While there you can view every bit of info about the house.

  3. Family Watchdog

For your protection you can search this database with registered sex offenders. It is nice to know if one is right next door to the home that you may be interested in.

  4. For Sale By Owner

This website is where buyers in sellers take matters into their own hands cutting out the cost of realtors. Who knows what you may find here. The website has all kinds of tools and tips. There is step by step info and forms that you can use, along with customer support.

  5. Trulia

This website has info that you want to know. It lists how many days the house has been on the market, prior sale history, assessor records, who its listed by and its free to sign up and begin to find your new place.
