Guys Reveal More in Cyberspace

Men may be from Mars and women from Venus, but in cyberspace they come from more or less the same place.

That is true if we are to take the research of Adam Joinson of the Open University into consideration.  For years psychologists have been saying that women reveal more about their feelings and emotions than men do, and loads of women are looking for that sensitive ‘new man’ type who discusses feelings and is not ashamed to cry when watching a ‘weepie.’  Well….. It’s a fact!  They’re more likely to find them on the net!

Joinson’s research revealed that people were more open and honest about themselves when using internet chatrooms and e-mail.  He said that people revealed four times as much personal information whilst floating around in cyberspace, than in face-to-face meetings.  That personal information includes things like feelings, and emotions…..and the guys were getting in on the act.  Wow!  So much for all that hype about guys only being on there to tell us women they’ve got a big one!  Ahem…..Car?
