Lets just compare the big giants in the industry – Google and Yahoo. Both the companies started small and later expanded their network . But I personally think that over the past few years Goolge have earned themselves an upper hand ( Yahoo fans ! Please don’t feel bad ).

Speed - Google is a bit too fast for yahoo I guess. If it weren’t for the stupid ads on yahoo!, it would have been much better. Of course Google has a bit more servers.

Appearance - Google has a simple and very efficient interface. It’s “clean” if you know what I mean. Yahoo on the other hand has a very complex graphical interface. Eye catching, cool, innovative are the words that can describe yahoo. Yahoo wins here.

Mail - Yahoo has a well integrated inbox. The best thing is that you can use templates for outgoing messages unlike Google. But somehow I prefer Google. Why ? Because sometimes simplicity is what matters.

Chat - Google chat is way way better than yahoo messenger. There are many widgets and applets to access G talk. And so in this area there is no confusion. Google – The leader

Utility - I’m sorry yahoo fellows, but Google is far far better in this aspect. Well you might probably argue but it’s Google who does all the hard work inventing but Yahoo copies it with a bit of modifications.

Users – Well It goes like this – You start with yahoo as it is very attractive and when you become acquainted to the Internet, you tend to switch. So you can call Google users experts and Yahoo user’s ” Here for Fun ?”. 

So what do you think ? Well my opinion is this :: Why can’t you use them together ? It’s not like you need to hate one to like the other. Just follow each of them for their strengths. And the by just observing the way you use them people can easily identify your personality.
