With religious freedom in America comes an uneasy divide of opinions on divine intentions from each individual’s own belief in God. Glenn Beck who isn’t shy sharing his religious beliefs on his radio show has gotten himself noticed more than a few times for his prophetical outlook on natural disasters. Beck believes that the current earthquake that rocked Japan may, or may not be from God.
“I’m not saying God is, you know, causing earthquakes,” Beck said. He also implied that God had caused them which made his comments confusing and out of place. There were times also he implied that Japan’s conduct had brought the earthquake. The crisis in his opinion is the Christian God’s wrath whether you call him Gaia of Jesus according to Beck.
Beck’s radio show comments left many listeners wondering? Does freedom of religion, coupled with freedom of speech give legitimacy to condemn a nation?
