Websites such as Hulu.com and Netflix.com offer ways for people to watch TV for free.

Television rocks.  It’s the best way to kill time, find entertainment, or just provide background noise while cuddling.  However, for quality shows, viewers must pay for premium TV service.  This can run between $50-$100 per month, if not more.  To make matters worse, most subscribers only watch a few of their favorite shows a week.

For those of you who don’t want to pay for service, but still want to keep up with the latest episodes of the hottest shows, there are a few options available to you.

Online Television is free, and easy to use!

The most popular free television site is Hulu.com.  Hulu provides users the latest episodes of highly popular shows from cable networks such as NBC, ABC, Fox, and FX.  It is an ad sponsored site, but the ads are tastefully situated, non-intrusive, and far less time consuming than on cable TV.  Most 20-minute shows will play between three and five 45-second ads per episode.  The content offered by Hulu is generally on a slight delay from the TV air date, between 24 hours and 5 days.  However, the content is constantly updated, so even if you are a week behind on the show, you still get a fresh episode every week.

Hulu is constantly expanding its selection of full episodes, while continuing to maintain it’s supply of mainstream media.  Here is just a sampling of what Hulu has to offer viewers (all free, mind you):

Free Full Episodes:

The Office

30 Rock

Human Target

Psych

The Gates

Glee

House

Modern Family

24

Bones

The Good Guys

Parks and Recreation

It should be noted, that for most current season shows, only 3-5 episodes are available at a time; as new content rolls out, old content is deleted.  Some shows have full seasons for viewing, and Hulu sometimes runs sponsored weeks where it offers all episodes of a show, such as Lost or Arrested Development.

Internet TV through Netflix:

The second popular way to view hot TV and movies online is using netflix.com.  For unlimited online streaming, Netflix charges users $15/mo.  This gives them access to all the shows presented by Hulu, and more.  In addition to that, there are no ads in the media on Netflix, and users are also able to watch thousands of popular movies and indy films for free.  For the monthly charge, Netflix also offers a DVD and BluRay library; they mail you discs and you mail them back when you are done, one to five discs at a time.

Simply go to Netflix.com and sign up to start enjoying countless hours of full seasons of your favorite TV shows, commercial free.

Netflix also hosts shows from prime-time networks such as HBO and Showtime for free; Dexter fans, rejoice.

TV is free and easy online!

Head out to netflix.com or hulu.com to start watching and getting caught up on the most quality entertainment, for free!
