The hilarious site that will convince you never to complain again!
FML. For those of you who aren’t as a tech-savvy as your teen, FML may not make the most sense to you. FML stands for a three letter phrase which starts with a word that begins with the letter ‘F’ and rhymes with puck followed by ‘My Life’. Feel free to use your imagination here.
What the creators of one ingenious website have done is taken the oh-so common phrase used by teenagers when complaining about their lives to show people that maybe their lives aren’t as bad as they thought it was. This is of course assuming that you aren’t one of the people complaining on the site!
For example, a quick sample: “Today, I went to the gym with two of my friends expecting to pay a guest fee but the cute guy working at the front desk let me in for free. On the way out after working out I started to flirt with him and he said “Don’t flatter yourself, I just let you in because I’m lazy. FML”
FMyLife has made me think twice when I complain. Not to mention that it’s a great time killer. Warning: don’t expect to get a any work done the day you first discover it.
Each entry starts off with the word ‘Today’ and ends off with FML. They will all have you laughing on end. So who are these ingenious creators? The site is based off the original French site http://viedemerde.fr which translates to ‘My Shitty Life’. The creators of the English version are Maxime Valette, Guillaume Passaglia and Didier Guedj. To submit your entry, you must have an account it must first get approved. It should also be real but there is no way for it to get verified so a good majority of the stories are probably fabricated. Nevertheless, they’re good fabrications!
Since launching the English version, FML has been a tremendous success and it has even gotten a book deal. Its Facebook fan page continues to grow each day. In addition, FML sells customable t-shirts on their site.
Screw Twitter. FML is the real deal.
