Five of my Favourite Websites

Web Talk

Five of my favourite websites that I would like to share with you.

  1. Yahoo Answers

“Yahoo! Answers is a new way to find and share information. You can ask questions on any topic, get answers from real people, and share your insights.” So basically, you answer other peoples question (if you want) and ask your own. Your almost always guaranteed a few answers from the millions of people that use this website every day. I know it’s a popular website, but a surprising number of the people around me don’t know about it, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

  2. Free Rice

This is a very neat site, in more ways than one. If you have children that want to learn, or you yourself want to brush up on your vocabulary, and all the while helping to put an end to world hunger, than this website is for you. Sounds strange right? This is how it works. Every time they give you a word, and you click on the right definition, they will donate 20 grains of rice to the needy. How can they afford this? The ads on the page create a net-income every new question, and that’s what they use to buy rice with. The cool thing about this is that the website tests you to find out your vocabulary level, so it will always be a challenging/education experience. I’ve donated 12,000 grains before, how many can you?

  3. Free Flour

This is much like the before mentioned website, free rice, except with flour.

    • They donate a spoon of flour for every correct answer (10 spoonfuls = A bun, 100 spoonfuls = a loaf of bread)
    • They test you with questions about geography (capitals of every country)

  4. Surf The Channel

This is a nice little clone of the old tv-links, only better. You can watch almost any show, anime, movie, or cartoon at this site 100% for free. It’s streaming, so basically you watch it without downloading it. Pretty neat.

  5. Gaming Lagoon

Here is a neat little site where you can earn video games/memberships etc. You sign up with that link (with honest information, so they can send you prizes), and you being completing “offers” (basically surveys). For every offer you complete, you get a certain amount of points. Once you have enough points for whatever you are interested in, you order it from that site, and they will ship it to your door. I’ve done it before and it does work.

-I hope this article becomes popular, then more people can help with donations-

Nice sites. Although, I’d be cautious about filling out surveys to earn big prizes, because too many of these types of survey sites are basically scams that have people purchasing at least one or two items on a money-back trial basis. If the person forgets to cancel the trial offer before time expires, then they will not be able to get a refund and will be charged for the offer. Just be careful.

    God Bless,
