Give and Get Free Stuff.

Do you hate paying for stuff, but aren’t stupid enough to steal? Well, first of all, good for you. Second of all, you don’t have to pay for everything! Some things are free! This is made possible by a bunch of very generous people, a website, and some stuff they don’t use anymore.

Yes, freecycle is by far the best freecycling website, but when there is nothing on it, and you really want to find something, have no fear! There are a few other websites just like freecycle just waiting to be found for you to use! I have found 10 of these websites to share with you.

1. Craigslist

Craigslist is the most popular out of these websites, but when it comes to location, it’s not very precise. You can pick a group and find something that you want, about 30 miles away from where you life.

To find your group, you click your state, and choose the region that is closest to you. To find the free stuff, you go to the “for sale” box, and look down to the link that says free. Click it. You will see a whole bunch of free stuff.

2. Listia

This website is an auction site that you bid with credits. You earn credits by auctioning off your old stuff that you don’t want anymore. You get 500 free credits just for starting! It is a great website, and doesn’t get the publicity that it deserves. The only downside is that it sometimes doesn’t show the actual highest bid, but that can also be a good thing.

3.TrashNothing

This website is better if you can’t travel that far to get something. It is just like freecycle, but not as well known, though there are groups in just about every area. The only downside is that you have to be accepted into the groups, which can take a while.

4. Exchango

This website would be good, if it were more well known. There is not much to see on this website, as nobody knows about it. It is beautifully laid out, and very simple.

5.Givmo

This website is not as popular but is just like Exchango. If my readers could find out about this website, maybe they both could become more popular, and, in chance, bypass freecycle!

Another alternative is WebThriftStore – they turn stuff into cash for charities, tax deductions for donors, and bargains for buyers. http://webthriftstore.com

FreelyWheely, http://www.freelywheely.com is a lot better – you can easily see what is still available, everyone gets a fair chance (no more first come first served), and you don’t have to have a particular local group. Highly recommended.
