 Ebay has been having many problems since they started upping the fees to sellers. Now with the new paypal policy of holding the money,buyers are able to take advantage of the sellers. The sellers have no protection what so ever. You can put in a dispute claim even before the buyer has a chance to send out the item and your chances of winning are great especially if the mail happens to be slow. I have had many friends lose money trying to sell because ebay charges you to list, they charge you to sell an item and if you sell an item but the customer wants there money back then ebay still charege you as if you had sold the item. At 8.75 percent you can be out a lot of money if your items sells for any amount.

 So say you want to sell something for one hundred dollars. Well first you have to pay thirty five cents to ebay for listing. Then you have to pay another thirty five cents if you want to put up a buy it now option. Then your item sell for one hundred dollars, now ebay wants eight dollars and seventy five cents for that. So far you are up to nine forty five for fees.

 Now paypal holds your money until you can prove that you shipped your item out to the seller. So you have to find the money to ship the item to the individual who bought from you. You have to get your tracking number and pay for additional shipping if you want to make sure it gets to them quickly and safely. This can run you different amounts of money, depending on how you decide to ship.

 Now you have paid your fees to ship the item and you have paypal fees on top of this at 2.9 percent of what you earn so that is another two dollars and ninety cents you are going to owe. This puts you up to 12.65 that you are going to owe off of your hundred dollars and you still paid for the shipping which could have cost you another 20.00 dollars or more.

 Now you ship the item to the buyer but you have to wait for him or her to leave you feedback to get your money out of paypal or wait threes weeks. But before the three weeks is up the buyer decides they don’t like the product so they put in a claim to paypal saying there was something wrong. They leave you negative feedback in ebay and voila you don’t see your money that you were supposed to get. So now you are out the 20 dollars or more for shipping the item and ebay is looking for the fees because they have you listed as selling the item.
