This brief article talks about the easton press company and the books they offer for individuals to own a leather bound library in their own homes.

One of the best things about my home and interior is definitely my Easton Press book collection. I currently own more than 250 of these books and they look incredible behind several glass enclosed bookcases in my library room. One of the best features is that they do not just usethe standard black and brown leather coversbut they willusevirtually all colors. When you have a collection of dozens of these books, it really makes the shelvesand booksstand out seeing all of the various colors.Easton Press has been producing books for roughly the past 30 years and offers many different series to choose from in their book collections.Ordering can be donedirectly from the company’s website, EBAY and several online bookstores. Currently, I am focusing on The Signed First Editions of Science Fiction Series but have collected others as well in the past and they are all well made and should last for generations if taken care of properly. Below are several of their key series and what each has to offer:

  • Greatest 100 Books Ever Written — This is basically their best selling series and the most popular. Title of series is exactly what the series is composed of. Some book titles include: Last of the Mohicans, The Scarlet Letter, Tale of Two Cities, Moby Dick, and Crime and Punishment. A complete series will average somewherebetween $2500-$3300 on Ebay auctions.
  • Greatest Books of the 20TH Century — Excellent series of books only published in the past 100 years. Titles include Fahrenheit 451, Catch 22, To Kill a Mockingbird and 1984.
  • Signed First Editions — 2 different series are offered here. One is for just science fiction and the other is for basically all other areas. The science fiction series includes works by Kim Robinson, Joe Haldeman, Jack McDevitt, Ben Bova, and Ursula Leguin to name just a few. The other series includes works by famous authors, actors, politicians, and sports figures. Both series offer signed copies that are each serial numbered and do not exceed 1500 copies with most of them limited to only 900 copies made.
  • Masterpieces of Science Fiction — A collection of roughly 75 books which they hand picked to be some of the best books ever produced from science fiction. The list has been revamped a few times so totally there have been over 140 books in the series but the current collection is around 75. Several of the books come signed also. Some examples are The War of the Worlds, Clockwork Orange, The Martian Chronicles, and Flowers for Algernon.

Along with these series, Easton Press also offers numerous other ones. You can see the complete list at their websitewww.eastonpress.com. If you do decide to purchase make sure to check out EBAY for cheaper prices though. You can usually find a brand new book for a good discount on the auction site instead of going directly through Easton Press. No matter what book you end up buying I think you will not be disappointed. I have owned more than 300 of these books so far and every one hashad great craftmanship and no flaws. So go ahead and start your leatherbound library today.
