The main differences between website & blog spot can be given as under.

 Blog Spot  is used to publish day to day thoughts with family, friends & peers.

It’s layout usually contains a first page of recently posted content & on side you have links to navigate through all posts.

Content is usually arranged in a linear manner with latest on top.

It is easiest form of publishing.

The main page keeps on changing in a blog.

In blogs you can leave comments & follow other visitors.

Blogs are informal compared to websites.

Blog is a weblog or online diary.

They are quick & easy to set up.

They are easily enabled to drive traffic as compared to websites.

Website  is  official address & location of web based business containing related pages not ordered in a chronological order as in case of a blog.

It is hard to maintain as compared to a blog & costs whereas a blog is free to maintain.

Information is not updated regularly in case of a website.

When a website is updated, usually the entire page is altered & old entries are deleted whereas blog keeps old ones.

Websites require deep knowledge to be maintained & are complex to deal.

They are formal mechanisms & public whereas blogs can be both public & private depending on choice of blogger.

The main page in a website is static.

You cannot follow visitors of a website.

Content layout depends on the developer of website.
