Getting Divorce Services On-line

The Internet is growing exponentially every day.  There is no limit to the things that can be bought and

sold on the net.  For crying out loud some woman even tried to sell her virginity on-line.  When you think of the

things you can do on-line, the normal list of things come up.  You know airline, hotel, and car rental services, buying and selling items on eBay or craigslist.  The one item I thought I would never  find on-line was divorce services.  When going through my divorce I was strapped for cash and could not afford the services of an attorney.  I search all over town to find an attorney that was reasonable for a no contest divorce.  I was looking for help on-line one day and came across several sites that offered on-line divorce services.  I looked into it more and decided to try one of them.  All I had to pay was $400.00 and they would handle all the forms I needed to get my divorce done.  This seemed like a bargain to me since the least expensive attorney that I found was about $1500.00 to $2000.00.  With all of the faith at my disposal I put down my money and got my case rolling.  Let me say one thing.  If you have a lot of money and assets on the line this route may not be the best for you.  Like I said we were in agreement from the beginning.  You need to find out the best protection for you.  Once I had my user name and password for the site I got on-line and answered about 100 questions about income, children, property, and support.  It took a couple of days to get all the questions answered.  Once the questions were answered I was told that my forms would be automatically filled in and all I had to do was file them and serve my spouse.  I couldn’t believe it.  It only took a week to have my case filed.  In addition to the forms being completed I was given step by step instructions on how to file.  What forms needed to be filed and preparatory instructions for the next filing step.  It was pretty easy.  My only snag was the San Diego County Family Courts insistence that I get a lawyer.   At every step they delayed my case.  They would find mysterious errors in my paperwork that were not present upon initial review.  It seemed every time my case went before the judge a new problem would arise.  I finally got tough with them and ask them to explain my errors.  They couldn’t and one week later I had a divorce decree.  Be patient, when you file you will be told that it takes 6 months before it can be final.  It took me one year to get finalized.  I learned a great deal doing it myself and I saved a bunch of money.  If you are a do it yourself person and need a divorce, go on-line and use the do it yourself divorce services.  It is well worth the money.
