Comcast is out with a cheap and very affordable internet offer at an amazing $10.00 per month! Rush now and get yours. You only have to meet the requirements and you are on. $10.00 per month! and you also get to receive a laptop and many others. Read on to find out about this amazing offer.

As part the FCC mandate requirement to Comcast when it acquired NBC Universal earlier this year, Comcast was to offer internet access at a cheap and very affordable cost. The cable giant was to do this to help low-income households.

Through their new program called Internet Essentials, Comcast is making this real. Only households or families that qualify can enjoy the cheap internet service. Those who qualify for the program can enjoy 1.5-Mbs internet access at a cost of just $9.95 a month equivalent to $10.00. The 1.5Mbs download speed of Comcast’s Internet Essentials is the same speed as AT&T’s basic DSL service.

Also in the package from Comcast is free internet training and acquisition of a computer that cost about $150. There are criteria for selection of those qualified to enjoy this extra service.

According to Internet Essentials website, for a household to qualify for the affordable service (low-cost computer and $9.95), the household must meet the following criteria.

The household must;

1.        Be located where Comcast offers Internet Service

2.        Have at least one child receiving school lunches through the National School Lunch Program

3.        Have not subscribed to Comcast’s Internet service with the last 3 months (90 days)

4.        Not have an unreturned equipment or have an overdue Comcast bill

Interested households for the service (Internet Essentials) from Comcast can call 1-855-8-INTERNET (1-855-846-8376). An application will be mailed to them. Return the application together with documents that show your child is part of the free lunch school program and within 7 and 10 days, you’ll be told if your household is eligible.

According to Comcast’s website, participants of Internet Essentials would have the opportunity to buy a netbook (netbook-styled laptop computer). The netbook supports Wi-Fi and wired Internet connectivity. The computer includes or has an Internet browser software and Windows 7 Starter operating system. Other or Additional productivity software may be included when available.

The new program will accept new participants for three years.
