Meeting potential mates online is rapidly becoming the referred method of finding love. While a certain level of distrust for the internet remains, that distrust is increasingly fading away as the number of internet-users continues to grow. The rising popularity of sites such as MySpace and Facebook is a testament to the shrinking inhibitions that people have toward meeting online. Of course, since men tend to outnumber women in most online dating sites, a sheer number of responses for women should be expected, along with the headache of weeding out the undesirables.

I personally know many people who spend their entire weekends prowling the internet chatrooms rather than the bars and nightclubs. This can translate to fewer prospects in the nightclubs. Therefore, Mr./Mrs. Right could more likely be waiting for you to simply logon.
