Chat rooms are pretty sketchy, we all know this. Most are filled with spam, faulty language, and of course pedophiles. After searching through many popular chat rooms I’ve discovered that most of them were unmonitored. And if they did, it was an automated program just filtering for flooding and/or spam links. So I came to a thought, and to my suprise, decided to create my own chat site.

My name is Sarah. I’m the owner/creator of Skye Chat. After that test I made searching through popular chat sites, I decided to create my own with all the true intentions I believe should go into a chat room. I have always enjoyed chatting with new people and creating bonds with others. So I thought, “How awesome would it be to own a place like that?” Most of the other chat rooms I’ve been in I’ve noticed can be dangerous. So I’m trying to create a safe, fun, FREE, environment for people alike to come and chat as much as they want. WIth that came Skye Chat

Again, I noticed most of them were going unmonitored. I’m proud to say I’m nearly watching that room 24/7. If not, I am away in the room and still see everything when I get back. I’ve never liked pedophile scares or stalking, so I do my best at preventing that. I’ve got safety tips and options coming soon, and I always let my users know when I update/add something to the site.

Skye Chat is an extremely new site. I created it on the first of October and it has gotten fairly popular to my surprise. Still being a new site however, it’s hard to get people to stay in the chat room. I have gained over 300 visitors the last 2-3 days and climbing, but not even half tend to stay in the room. I have high hopes for this site and plan on doing all I can to make it big for a good reason. But I need help getting the word out.

Once I get more users in the rooms I will be creating more rooms to interest, more features for my users, and I plan on assigning moderators for the multiple rooms I plan on creating. This site is entirely dependant upon others and I hope everyone has a good time at Skye Chat. I realize without them I wouldn’t go anywhere with this.
