A Few More Interesting and Engaging Web Sites

Web Talk

Wasting time on the web again, I have several newly-found web sites to share that have amused me in recent weeks.

Plasmatest

A rotating spiral that interacts in a hypnotizing way. The intensity changes and the focal point wanders around the screen. It possibly has the ability to mess-up your balance. Do not fall into the abyss.

Relatively simple process at work but oddly mesmerizing. Your head is becoming heavier, heavier… you are asleep.

Eyecandy The Name Says it All

Another randomly-changing kaleidoscope of color quit aptly named “eyecandy.” Clicking anywhere on the screen sets another random series of changes into motion. Or you can tweak the various settings manually and make your own full-screen prism of personalized living colors. This would make an interesting screen-saver effect.

Follow Orbiting Satellites (and the International Space Station too!) in Real-time

Real-Time Satellite Tracking

Where is the International Space Station at this very moment? It circles the globe some 15.729 times every day, but is it overhead right now? With this fun and engaging site you can follow the ISS and it updates every few seconds. I like this site and check it a few times every day. Who knows? The International Space Station may be passing overhead right now! Let’s run outside and check!

Crazy Colored Lines

(screenshot image by author)

Starting like meteors across the night sky, several dozen colored points of light change into lines. They chase and follow your pointer tool across the page. Oddly entertaining and if you have even installed a 3-speed ceiling fan with gradual intensity lights and all these with remote control activation then most of these colored wires will look very familiar. My addvice: hire an electrician

Virtual Bubble Wrap

Relieve stress online with virtual bubble wrap fun. Popping these bubble with the left button in interactive mode or rapidly in Maniac Mode (just dragging the mouse over the bubbles pops them,) you will be de-stressed in no time.

Cute musical chorus that you activate by clicking on each of Santa’s reindeer, one at a time. Each reindeer provides a particular contribution to this festive holiday chorus.
