Provides links to loads of information about everything from gas prices to free coupons.

Here are 5 websites I have bookmarked that I find myself using often.  I’m sure a lot of people here would also love using them.  I hope you enjoy!

1.  NextBus-  Do you ever take a bus anywhere?  Interested in starting to take a bus to save money on gas and help improve the environment?  This site is going to help you out much more than you could ever imagine.  Instead of just providing bus schedules, NextBus uses Global Positioning System (GPS) to tell you the exact time a bus will be arriving at the stop of your choice.  The site is accessible via cell phones and PDAs making it great for people on the go!  I advize checking the site out whether you use buses or not, it is very impressive!

2. GasBuddy- For all you drivers out there, don’t you hate when you fill up with gas then travel a few miles down the road and see it cheaper?  Don’t let it happen to you again!  GasBuddy is a powerful website that pulls together gas prices from over 180 independant gas information websites to bring all the information to you in a concise, easy to use website.  You can view maps outlining national price averages or look specifically at your area code and find what stations have the best deal.  The site also contains a Trip Calculator to help you determine how much your trip will cost no matter where you’re visiting in the US!

3. Valpak- Everyone I know loves to save money.  This Valpak gives all consumers the ability to save money right at their fingertips.  Simply type in your area code or City, State and you’re given access to hundres of FREE COUPONS for all of your local merchants.  The easy to use website then allows you to seperate the coupons into categories such as grocery, health, auto, restaurants, and more!  It takes seconds to find a coupon that you can use; think of all the money you could save by simply checking for a coupon prior to going out shopping!

4.  SitterCity- For parents, living children in the care of others for any period of time can be very difficult.  SitterCity is here to make you feel a little bit more comfortable about the process.  Once you put in your area code, you are directed to a list of all the registed babysitters in the area. All sitters have been prescreened and have full profiles outlining who they are, what they do, their rates, and provide references.  Within 5 miles of my zipcode there are over 300 listed sitters.  You’re sure to find the perfect person to take care of your child while you and the significant other enjoy a romantic evening.  The site also lists tutors, elder sitters, pet sitters, and home sitters.

5.  WebMD- Do you have strange symptoms but not want to go to the doctor because you’re strapped for cash?  Well, if you’re really sick maybe you should just go and pay, but if it is a little less serious or you’re just curious about what could cause certain symptoms and how to treat them click over to WebMD.  WebMD has too much information to outline all of it in a paragraph, just rest assured that nearly anything you could want to know about illnesses and drugs can be found via a simple search.  If your cold medicine isn’t working as effective as you want it to, why not check WebMD for other medications that might treat it more effectively?  Heck, it’s worth a shot!

Thanks for reading.  Let me know if you think  you’ll be using these sites and if you’d like me to put together of some of the other sites I use often.

thanks for the comments! I didn’t include Google because there are so many sites a majority of people know and use that are extremely helpful, I wanted these to be sites most people dont know about.

Google, Wikipedia, Yahoo, Ask, so many more!

    Thanks again
