These websites are worth visiting and re-visiting, so get bookmarking!

The internet is a diamond mine, and here are a few jems which you should keep.

Lifehacker

A pretty much all-in-one website that offers you ways to hack your life. From interesting cooking recipes (how do you make a frozen-banana-lolly?) to the latest technology gadget and updates, Lifehacker scouts the internet to tell you how to improve your handwriting, live a less stressed life, give your cupboard a makeover into a small office, use your cameraphone to find your car in the parking lot – You will be surprised pleasantly, daily.

Tip: Make sure you don’t miss the Lifehacker High Fives and Top Tens – especially before you make a purchase or decide to settle down with one software/web service.

MySupermarket

Available in the UK only.

MySupermarket combines online shopping, offline delivery, price comparison with other features such as Top Offers currently going on the highstreet supermarkets, suggestions on how you can save by going to another supermarket (is Tescos really cheaper than Sainsbury’s?) and a bonus points system. Better yet – type in your shopping list, and it will find the items for you.

Tip: Of course, you can also just use it to see what’s on offer before you personally pop down to that Tesco express down the road.

We Are Hunted

One click and see what the Internet is listening to.

Penzu

Penzu is a private journal. Probably the simplest you will see online, there is nothing fancy about it, besides a background that actually resembles a journal. It will be visible only to you, and you can lock entries if it’s top top top secret. Penzu is what keeping a diary used to be about – jotting down thoughts for yourself. Simple yet perfect.

StumbleAudio

Is it StumbleUpon? No…but it looks familiar. No, They are not related. But they both do the job pretty well. While StumbleUpon gives you interesting sites and random things to look at, StumbleAudio gives you songs that are under-hyped. No Brittany Spears or MJ here, but little jems quite unheard of to be discovered.

Soup.io

Soup.io is a tumblelog. It will automatically compile a page of what you find interesting on the internet, so all you have to do is click ‘Post to Soup’ in your bookmark bar. Soup will also import updates from StumbleUpon, Deviantart, Last.fm, and other services. Highlight images and text on a page to be posted as they are, comment on it, come back to it. Your soup will taste better after a while.

Supercook

So all you have is chicken, tomatoes, eggs and cheese left in the fridge. What to make for dinner? Supercook will tell you. Just bought some fancy spices and wondering how you can use them with other mundane ingredients? Supercook is here. Better yet – it will also tell you what you should buy when you next pop down to your local market – so you can try out more of its recipes.

Cobocards

For students and all-time learners alike, this is the eco-friendly version of Flashcards. Create, memorise, get tested, work in a team; insert algebra, LaTEX – you name it.

Grooveshark

Grooveshark is the simpler and easier alternative to Last.fm, for those who place their firm belief in less is more. Enter a song name or artist, and start listening. The Autoplay feature is always a nice, if not essential, tool too.

Still Tasty?

Just how long will the chicken last in the fridge? That other half of the melon I left on the counter two days ago, is it still safe? Shall I store bread on the counter or the fridge? Find answers at Stilltasty.com.

Okies, that’ll be the ten for today. There will be more to come!
