Web Talk

A list of 10 of the best technological websites on the internet.

  1. Engadget

A technology blog that never sleeps; 24 hour updates, in-depth reviews, and a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of tech and gadgetry make for one of the most comprehensive blogs on the web. If you aren’t content with the endless content supplied on Engadget alone, the site has links to hundreds of other affiliates that post about technology and the modern world.

  2. Joystiq

Similar to Engadget, this is another fantastic tech blog. The difference lies in the fact that Joystiq only blogs about the world of gaming. Not only does Joystiq post specifically about games and consoles, but also all about the scandals, business and economy of video games.

  3. T3

A British technology website, this site offers a more natural supplement for tech blogs. Ton’s of great articles, and first impressions on new technology and science that are some of the best on the web.

  4. PC World

Not only does PC World make a great magazine, but they also have a powerful web presence. If you aren’t content with their magazine, you can find tons of info, reviews, and advice pertaining to technology. Also, you can subscribe to the PC World daily e-letter, which gives you tons of free software, and hundreds of helpful reviews.

  5. Technology Review

Published by a leading technological college, MIT, the Technology Review provides a simple medium where you can get all your tech news. It even has articles on the newest scientific advances as well as international technology affairs.

  6. Gizmodo

A great gadget and tech guide, Gizmodo focuses on fascinating aspects of the tech world that other sites might miss. “So much in love with shiny, new toys, it’s unnatural”.

  7. Top Tech News

Top Tech News gives a no-nonsense approach to delivering news on technology and the like. It also has many articles on the more serious aspects of the technological world which is refreshing in the age of web-comics and blogs.

  8. Washington Post Technology

The Washington Post, leading American newspaper, turns it’s sites on technology, and provides an informative, serious technology page. Reviews, IT tips, gaming news, and political aspects of the technological economy can all be found here.

  9. Popular Science

Popular Science not only produces one of my favorite magazines, but also maintains a fantastic website. The name of the company is misleading; The magazine has much more to do with new and up-and-coming technology and sciences than just science itself. Gadget features, professional journalists, and predictions of the tech world make this site a must see.

  10. Newegg

While Newegg isn’t exactly a technology blog or site, it’s essential to check in once in a while to this site to see what’s new on the market. Mostly for computer parts, this site provides reviews on the thousands of products in their supply. It’s essential to keep up with the market, and using Newegg is the easiest way to do it.
