Web Design

Ever wanted to make your own website with no cost? Well here’s how.

Many people every day go on a website that looks professional in many ways. Many want to make a good website too but think they have to learn HTML. The truth is about 50% of the websites you see are made with website creators. However, a lot of them have purchased a membership with that website builder. Well have no fear of this because now you to can have an awesome website with no charge. Here’s how:

1. Make a free account with Weebly. This can be done by clicking here.

2.On the front page, it should look something like this:

The form to sign up is that blue box that says “Create a free Website.”

Fill out this form.

3. After all is done you can begin to make your website.

Start out with something simple like choosing the layout.

Click on the “Design” option as shown below.

Select “Designs”.

Now you will see a whole bunch of options for your layout. Choose one that suits the topic of your website best. Be sure to choose the layout based on what the website is going to be about. If you’re writing about the Underworld don’t put a layout/background of puppys and hearts.

- Now we can add some stuff to our homepage. I suggest you write what this site is about. To do this, go under Elements < Basic < Paragraph (Drag and drop onto page). Now you can click on the new box to start writing. The properties of the text can be changed by the bar that appears when you click on the box to change it.

This is what your site should look like so far besides the layout you chose.

- Now that you know how to add and edit one element, the rest of the elements should be pretty self explanatory. The last thing I will show you is how to add pages.

Choose the “Pages” option. Then click new page. Title it whatever you want then click “Save”. After this, you are free to edit the page.

Now add more pages, elements, and styles. Don’t forget to add creative and attractive items such as pictures, videos, and flash. Good Luck!
