The evolution of technology is inevitable and seeing certain jobs decrease while more technological jobs increase will be more common in the world today.
In particular, there is one area that is continuing to grow and will become a much bigger job than it all ready is. All ready, in some High Schools, they are teaching web design and I cannot believe this because I was out of school six years and now it is being taught there. I sit down and think why didn’t I have that a little bit but then I realized, it’s the evolution of technology and becoming a very important aspect in today’s world.
So, for you guys I’m going to talk to you about learning on building web sites. There are things you need to know and need to consider. First and foremost, like anything in this world, you must plan out what you want it to be and how you want to go about it. The minimum amount of web design language you would need should be HTML. To learn HTML, I recommend going to http://www.w3schools.com as you will find everything you need from HTML all the way beyond that. However, you could always learn by using the trial and error method and see how it works that way though that can take a bit of time before ever understanding it properly.
There are other tutorial web sites out there on the Internet. You could do a search and type in these keywords: HTML Tutorial if that is what you are looking to learn in the first place. It will come in handy if unsure on how to get it done properly. They are free of course and can be a great help even if it is just getting the exact codes. Visual aids actually will help in this matter.
This job is really the one I see growing the most considering that IT and also people working from home is going to become more of a possibility with bigger companies getting involved and doing mainly telecommunications. I know Data Entry and freelance work can be done directly at home for sure.
However, back to the subject at hand with web design, a technology that is very common in my opinion. This is becoming a must and sure you can get certified and get degrees in the subject but self-teaching can help with tutorials online or if you can afford books, then do so. I can attest to this because you see when I was in High School about six years ago, well technically nearly seven years, I didn’t have the option to take web design like I see now in High Schools. Mostly, it was used as a personal project and to give myself a web presence and I had no clue on what I was doing. Using a site like Geocities helped with its page builder. Later on I evolved and looked into the Webmonkey web site with the tutorials and tried to get an understanding on how they work and get color-codes. Sure, you could type in the name but it works just as well to learn what it is exactly and be able to memorize it. I do recommend getting a sheet on that because there are many colors many codes.
Sites I recommend starting out before going all out on a domain would be Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod, Topcities, and many other free web sites as long as you are building small web sites. It’s better to start small and then expand upon it. This is what I’ve done to help me and I hope this helps you out and gives somewhat of a better idea on web design and how it probably will become a very common job if it hasn’t all ready.

I came from the good ol’ WB class of 2003, and Mrs. Curll most certainly taught an HTML class. Granted, it was terribly outdated and completely not up to par even in 2000, but it was offered. Unfortunately it was also a huge waste of time. Nothing like another study hall in front of a computer monitor, I suppose.
