Youtube’s ever growing grip on culture and society.

Whenever you hear a person talking about a concert or talking about a movie they made the first responses is ” Did you put it on Youtube?” or “Did you see on Youtube” or “You can find it on Youtube”.  Youtube has now become the paramount of streaming online video with the help of teens and everyday people on a treasure hunt for a Spongebob Spoof or just anything from humor to trailers to music videos. You can practically find anything on Youtube.

On YouTube, the average user watches 30 minutes of videos a day, with the average length of each video viewed is about 2 minutes long. However, these views are made up by the 35,000 videos that are uploaded to YouTube each day. Of course, advertisers and marketing want in!

They get waves of potential partners, new users and several uploads each day, it can be overwhelming on how popular it has gotten. Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, the Co-founders of Youtube told USA Today There are so many things we can do,” “We’ll wait and see what happens in the market.”.

Imagine all the possibilities.

They’re endless.

And with teens, adults and children raving over this new found innovation you have to wonder : What next?

Recently, Youtube has came out with a way to upload to their site directly from your mobile phone! Surely, the amounts of uploaders are increasing day by day. Nearly every American carries around a mobile phone.

So there you have. Youtube is taking over the world (assisted by the world itself) and will soon be larger than the Internet itself.
