A short review on the YouTube sensation.

A middle-aged man from Seattle fulfills his dream of traveling the world.

Is that all there is to it though? In my opinion there’s much, much more. The first time I watched this video, I felt an unexplainable joy. Over and over I watched until I could find what was causing so much joy from what seemed to be a trivial video.

And then it hit me, when you have myriad of people and cultures who communicate in many different ways, you may feel lost if not at home. But something as simple as the concept of dancing can be used to unite us. Take a look at the people in the video; their faces.

You start to see a trend of people just having fun. There’s nothing to be explained, no pantomime that needs to be used. When Matt started his journey of dance, he is alone. Instead of people laughing and walking away, they decide to join his fun.

Learn from Matt and the people of the world, we may be a diverse species, but there are some things that connect everyone.
