A new revolution is on his way:tv, internet and free calls-in one package..one dream..

A new revolution is coming out these days The monolith Skype which is a leader in VoIP technology today, and Kazaa , a per2per giant, unite their forces into the “Venice Project” that intends to use peer-to-peer technology to disrupt the television industry and to take in flames You tube.

Well, it’s not an easy task, they started already to lunch a Beta Tester program, on which you can sign up if you have a good connexion and a good computer : theveniceproject.com

After install the application will consume about 250mb per hour, the company says, so you better have a broadband connexion if you even consider to try it out. If you installed you must reboot, and then, after you start the application a channel list will, allure you into trying them out. The stream service looks very good quality, with very little jitter, so there is no need on hooking it up to a big screen TV, but if you like a cinema feeling you can try it. In the beta test version of the software was notice a little lag in switching channels, or between different menu choice. Setting up the channels is very easy, it’s pretty good organized, in a way that you can visually navigate without reading a manual.

Also some features are build in, for example you can chat with your buddies, in the future some other features will be added, as the development of the software will continue in a very enthusiastic way, as you will get a all tv package, maybe an interactive tv guide, and more…

So, you wander if this will be a hit ? In one package you get free phone calls, free music… free television… pretty easy to understand, this will kill the competition, right?

Large media companies all over the world like Disney, will be very interested: this will be a pretty good thing, because it will free them from the burden of providers and will just give them a global audience.

I hope this will come out of the beta state as fast possible and I believe will have a lot of fun with this new technology, that will merge the best of TV and the best of the Internet and bring a better way to access media content for the consumer and bring less pain on the big world wide companies that deliver the content.
