The Cowon D2 Portable Multimedia Player is an awesome little machine capable of doing many things.  With its 2.5 inch, 16 million color (24 bit) TFT, LCD screen, viewing pleasure is exceptional.  The D2 has a touch screen for easy use and supports mp3, wma, ogg, wav, flac, ape, moving picture, and jpg.  The D2 is equipped with a voice recorder, fm radio and recorder, USB storage and a SD/MMC Card expansion slot.  The device will play 52 hours of music  and 10 hours of video.    The D2 suports full scale (30fps) QVGA video and tv out.  The question always seems to be asked about downloading video content from YouTube and there are numberous methods to download and convert the content into an avi. format for the Cowon D2 player.  The following three step procedure is one that is simple to use to download YouTube videos, convert and load to the Cowon D2.  For further questions about the Cowon D2, check out http://www.cowonamerica.com

1.  First, you must have a download tool to download the video to your desktop.  The tool that is easy to use is a YouTube downloader that you can find at http://altervista.com.  Once you download the tool, type in the URL (universal resource code-address) for the YouTube video.  Its address will end.com/watch?v= followed by alpha and numeric characters to form the address.

2.  Once the video has downloaded to your desktop, the video is in an flv. format and must be converted to avi. for your Cowon D2.  An excellent converter tool is Prism, a free download tool at the following address: http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism .  Once you have downloaded Prism, click on the icon and open Prism.  Next, drag your video content from your desktop into Prism and click on the convert button.  This will convert the video format from flv. to avi.

3.  Now that you have converted your video, you are ready to drag the video content onto your Jetshell Back Up and Device Manager.  Locate your converted video (Prism-it will identify the outfolder address:) and open your Jetshell Device Manager.  Connect the Cowon D2 via the USB port.  Next, drag the video content into the D2 manager menu, labeled Video.  This will place the video into your device video library.
