Hello and welcome to my article on FaceBook and other social networking site and how they kill the social skills of the teens of the current age. If you do not agree with any of the content posted here, that is fine however please do not just post horrible commetns.

Social networking sites of today are now the new “Fad”. Basically you make a profile and add your friends. Then you can chat, play games and interact through the internet. This can be hurtful to teens and adults skills when they talk to someone in real life. Because they may be used to talking on the social networking site they may not know how to act or speak to the person in question.

I am guilty myself of using the popular social networking site, FaceBook. I think it is hurting many teens ability to converse in real life with real people. Also some sites like MySpace can also be dangerous as they can give your information to online predators alot easier than on say FaceBook with it’s many advanced safety features.

If you are going to use a social networking site please do not use it as the only way to talk to your peers and friends. If you insist on using them at least know how to keep yourself safe on Social Networking Sites. I will be publishing an article on how to keep yourself safe on FaceBook mainly but also general safety tips for the internet.
