At the Facebook HQ today, Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of some exciting new features to the world’s most popular social network, Facebook. After spending the past six months working on most of these features, it looks like the summer holidays for Facebook users are going to get a lot better with the unveiling of Group Chat, an improved design for the chat buddy list, and video calling. There was a lot of buzz about the Facebook’s new chat bar. And to specify, most of them were negetive. Though the new messaging solution was good to some, those offline friends showing up in the list and the scrollbar-less list annoyed many. Many wished for a revert back to the old chat.Personally I dislike the new chat. Unfortunately, this is impossible as of now. However, I urge you and everyone else who is dissatisfied with this feature to follow this link, and tell facebook to change back to the old chat list! Yeah, exact same query here. Basically, it’s fu**ed, not sure why they have to keep changing things and making it worse than it was before! If you are tired of that, at least you can use the pop up chat… Add a new tab and paste this: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php You must click the “Search” bar at the bottom of the chat window and type in the first letter of someones LAST name and it will show everyone with that letter..
Does that make sense?
The chat window shows the people you’ve talked to most recently and then just some random people are added in.
Lets say you’re looking to chat with “John Smith”
You’d type “S” or “Smith” Into the search bar at the bottom of the chat window and that person would come up. I don’t believe there’s a way to scroll through everyone… Try clicking “Chat” at the bottom right corner that should get it back if not try using it with a different browser maybe.

I have no opinion on facebook as I do not use it. But, wanted to tell you that this article had excellent writing.
i like it
good post
I think they fixed it now. I saw a much shorter list yesterday than before.
I have recently stopped using facebook. I prefer twitter.
I really don’t like the facebook chat they have now and don’t like the new way of viewing pictures too. Facebook is getting not so appealing with each of their updates :/
