Why is this needed or popular?
Twitter is a form of short message social network that allows you to tell your friends and family about everything you are doing. in my personal opinion, twitter is over hyped and unneeded. It feels that everyday something stupid arises to great heights on the Internet. Websites such as Youtube and it’s more corporate counterpart Hulu are great ideas that truly provide a service to the world, but twitter seems as it can be done with just a blog or a phone that can text message.
Twitter was called The invention that we didn’t know we needed until it existed by one of it’s founders (not verbatim). In my mind this is interpreted to , there really is no use for this . I would like to state that I do not have a vengeful hate towards twitter but it seems like just another step into a society were everything is out in the public but there is no true social interacting. It relies on the natural human tendency to want to be nosy or know everything about everyone.Seriously, does everyone need to know if I am reading a book or watching the game. If you would just talk to people it’s sure to come up.
In conclusion, twitter looks like a waste of bandwidth and hard drive space and hopefully does not become full of itself and will probably die out like a fad.

I had twitter ages before it blew up in popularity and used it as a way of capturing small ideas but have since found better ways.
Just going to nitpick Hulu doesn’t provide a service to the world since it’s not available to the rest of the world
