Twitter are having technical problems on their side, so it is not just you. Twitter servers are suffering downtime, though this outage won’t affect everyone. Twitter has acknowledged the problem in the Twitter status blog very recently. Twitter apps will be affected by this problem.

They are trying to provide an update and fix the site as soon as possible. Twitter is also investigating where the largely scattered networks are not able to connect with Twitter and why.

This problem isn’t universal and will be updated.

Hopefully Twitter will be up and running ASAP, as soon as an update is available.
