Yes, I appreciate that Twitter is fast.  It’s communication that moves at the speed of the internet herd.  It’s real time spam. 

Twitter is nothing but an evolved web page that just happened to stumble on the right formula to satisfy the stupidity of the mainstream populace.  Long ago, in a world forgotten, you needed a scientist to make you a web page.  That website would share your information.  This information was precise, relevant, and valuable.  Then came blogs.  You didn’t need a scientist, and 2 billion blogs later we have only a handful of blogs that offer any value.  Wordpress made it easier for MORE stupidity to polute the internet, and the combination of myspace and facebook gave every single living thing that should NOT have a space on the electric web, a great big flashy page to emo poem and attract pedophiles.  Search engines choke, and intelligence is lost.

Then came Twitter.  Tweet tweet!  Now you don’t even need a web page to share your worthless thoughts, you just need an @.  Twitter shares your information with the world.  Because remembering your facebook password was too frustrating.

Twitter is not a great idea.  Twitter is not special.  It’s a dumbed down version of everything that has always been there.  I’m sick of hearing about it.
