CALIFORNIA – Twitter again restrict users. This time, the microblogging site has blocked images animated GIF as a profile picture.
Quoted from Mashable, Friday (21/09/2012), this block known illustrator named Chris Torres. “Wow, I am trying to upload animated avatars to your account., But avatar is not moving,” said Torres.
According to Torres, it looks like Twitter is watching avatar users with fairly tight.
According Help Center Twitter, users who currently have animated avatars will not be affected by the blocking of the GIF. Twitter explained that the company still supports JPEG, GIF, and PNG, but not animated GIF.
“Check your file type. Twitter supports file formats JPEG, GIF, and PNG. We do not support animated GIFs. Animation GIF can not upload anymore,” wrote Twitter.
