According to the Sydney Morning Herald the number of people in Australia who use twitter has jumped by 1067%. Thats right 1067%, as more and more people started to understand the benefits of using tweeter in keeping your friends uptodate, this is not since twitter started, but since 2009. New Zealand, according to the SMH twitter database is up trifold since 2009. Singapore’s twitter traffic has resulted in Twitter.com being in the top 50 most popular websites. The amount of twitter’s in US and Britain had also increased by more then 550% since the start of the year.
This large jump in twitter following could be as a result of the significant impact that Opera and Ashton Kutcher had on the social media.

Twitter, is a new social media medium that allows individuals and business to communicate in real time. It allows business to access a social medium that is complete different from facebook and myspace. Twitter allows individuals to follow( a feature that is unique to twitter) or to subscribe to other peoples tweets. This is done in real time and will revolutionize the way in which business communication occurs.

Unlike Facebook and Myspace, twitter is not used by your average school kid. It is used by University Students, CEO, Enterprenears and even actors, actresses, tv personel and the list goes on.
