Social Networks

Looking at the flourishing number of Social Networking websites, I feel we are spoiled by choices.

Increasingly we find people spending most of their “Online Time” on social networking websites. Going by the number and kind of such websites, we feel that users are spoilt by the options available. On one hand you have Orkut, Facebook, Twitter and on the other you have got hi5,zorpia, apna adda and so on.

In a fast paced life that we are living in today this seems to be the easiest option available to stay in touch with long lost friends. Though we believe SMSing is not such a tough option either but this seems to be a preferable option. Users get various features on these websites ranging from sending messages, uploading pictures and Videos and to gaming applications. You name it you have it. Users can also subscribe to RSS feeds.

It has become a kind of status symbol. Higher the number of friends that one has in his list, higher the chances that his home page will be viewed by a larger audience. And it’s not only a common teenager that has been addicted to such websites, even Celebs are getting the feel of it. Personally I feel this is a great way to utilize your time in networking, which is otherwise not possible due to various professional commitments.

The pros easily outnumber the cons. While critics stand on their toes trying to bash the Gen Y addiction to such websites, users sit back in relaxed manner as these websites are here to stay.

So till next time, Keep Networking.
