A quick overview of three of the most famous social networking sites on the internet.
A social networking site is a site that focuses on building online communities, where people can share experiences, beliefs… and find people who are quite like them.
1. Facebook
I think we all know Facebook, as it’s widely used all over the world. Facebook combines a sleek design and a user-friendly navigation system. On your “Wall” you see all your friend’s updates and activities they posted. Facebook also provides numerous applications for just about everything, all developers are welcome to develop their own.
2. Twitter
Twitter is also famous, possibly even more than Facebook. Twitter doesn’t have much of Facebook’s features such as applications (Twitter has applications but there are a few of them, not like Facebook). Twitter is mainly used to be notified when the people and/or companies you follow do something. In general Twitter is used more to obtain information than provide it.
3. Flickr
Probably the most widely-spread choice for sharing photos and pictures with the Internet. Flickr provides organizing photos, sharing your photos and staying in touch with friends, forming groups and much more…
