Lance Armstong was recently revoked of his seven victories. Was it really necessary? When there are other cyclists who had won previous Tour de France also doped, there titles haven’t been revoked.

Lance Armstrong was recently revoked of his seven victories in the Tour de France, between the years 1998-2005 in claims of doping after he declined to pursue its legal battle against the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. The announcement comes after the cyclist who has recently retired from professional road cycling repeated he was innocent of the charges against him, but he would not continue his legal battle against US Anti-Doping Agency who accused him of doping throughout the period from 1999 to 2005.

Was it really necessary for the US Anti-Doping Agency to remove him of his seven victories?

There have been other winners of the Tour de France years precedent who had all been into doping.

Will they too have their titles removed?

Surely most people feel this is injust. It seems there is a witch hunt out for Lance Armstrong. On twitter he has been reported writing on this issue, “Today, I turn the page,” he wrote. “I do not take care of this issue any longer, given the circumstances,” said the rider. “I devote myself to work even before I started to win the Tour de France serve individuals and families affected by cancer,” he adds.

Whatever Lance Armstrong’s future lies, one can only hope he will come out all the better for it. And one day have the opportunity to clear his name.
