A short guide that has a few tips on how to get onto the hot content list.
1) First of all, you need something to write about. I would recommend something that has a valuable niche in advertising, like computers or health/fitness topics. This will allow you to get more money out of your views, and allow your article to generate more income. For example, I made 7 cents off of 30 views on an article that was about weight loss, but only 5 cents for 35 views on a recipe that I uploaded. Do a few google searches to find profitable topics, but I would personally recommend technology, fitness and health and music.
2) Make sure it’s well written. No one wants to read something full of spelling and grammatical errors. Make sure it flows, every sentence contains something new, and that it makes sense. A rough draft and getting someone else to edit your work might not be a bad idea.
3) Advertise, advertise, advertise. Shamelessly promote your links to everyone you know, and people you don’t. Use twitter, facebook, digg or any other social networking site in order to get more views.
4) Add friends. The more people comment and like your article, the more likely you’ll get into the hot content list, and the more you’ll make
Of course, there are always exceptions. You might have thousands of views and hundreds of links and comments, but still not be able to get into the hot content list. Keep trying, through trial and error you’ll eventually make it.
Good luck, and keep writing!
