Twellow is a Twitter based application which classifies the tweeps into various categories. Look for an appropriate category and find the people to follow.
Twitter is a social networking site which helps you to share your updates with your followers. In Twitter, you answer the question ‘What are you doing?’ at various points of time. You also have the choice to follow various persons and keep track of their status updates. But how would you decide which persons to follow? Twitter allows a short biography in a profile. So one way to search for the people to follow is to go through the profiles. But considering the growth of Twitter, it is very difficult to find people to follow.
Twellow is a Twitter based application which classifies the people into various categories. Login to Twellow with your Twitter credentials. The first thing you can do is to add yourselves into some category. This is an optional step, but it will increase your profile visibility and also help you to get some followers. There are wide range of categories like Food, Cooking, Technology, Programming, Software, Blogging and many others. All you need is to choose the various categories where you want to add yourselves. But there is a limit of ten categories where you can list yourselves.
The next step is to find the people to follow. Browse for the category you are looking for. You can see the various profiles listed under the catgory. The profiles are arranged in descending order based on the number of folowers. Each page shows a maximum of 20 profiles. With each profile, the biography alongwith the profile picture is displayed. In addition to this, there are other information like the number of followers, the URL, the last tweet, location and also the various other categories into which the profile is listed. There are also links to various other social links which the person is a part of. With all this information, you can decide whether or not to follow.
If this is not helpful to find persons to follow, Twellow has something called ‘Twellowhood’, which classifies the users based on their location. Twellowhood shows the information on map. Using this, you can find people to follow within your vicinity.
