Facebook is testing a new form of advertising. Various status and activities of Facebook users might someday be inserted advertisements.
Service providers in the world’s largest social media is currently testing the integration of corporate sponsor messages intothe news feed status and activities of users.
“This trial enables brand owners to market their products to the users of Facebook as a whole,” said Annie Ta, Facebook spokes person in a statement via email to Mashable.
So far, advertising and sponsored links only go to those users who are declared like the sponsor page on Facebook.
Annie Ta said the ad was scheduled to appear in both the desktop and on mobile devices like mobile phones.
This ad will not form different from the current posting, but willbe clearly labeled “sponsored”. In the right corner of the facility would be “like”.
As with conventional advertising, product or brand owners have to pay to reach hundreds of millions of Facebook users around the world.
Brand owners have full control over their ads, such as whether to be published daily or for a certain period.
Facebook will only charge you a fee based on the clicks received.
