1. Think Public
When you post something on the Internet, the world is your audience. Even if you made more stringent privacy settings, it is always possible that, as time passes, what today’s post to be seen by a potential employer, spouse or friend. When you post something of a personal nature on Facebook , you could imagine your grandmother or your boss thinks after reading the information. If you do not want to read it, then do not post. This is true for images. Do not post anything that you do not want to see your neighbor, priest, mother or anyone else.
2. Check twice double meanings
Text messages, emails, online forums have one thing in common: they are communications made without the benefit of body language and voice inflection. Much of the conversations of people in the real world is decoded in contrast with what the speaker says body language or voice. This is impossible on the World Wide Web. When you compose something online, it is important to check what you wrote to make sure that is clear and without interpretation. If the post is misleading, promptly correct the mistake with a subsequent post and apologies.
3. Do not “fiery” in words
It is necessary to keep your temper when you engage in online conversations. When you respond to someone else’s comments, no matter how “fire” are not dealing with hatred, bigotry or verbal violence. Do it in a more succinct and, if you need to respond to all comments, do so in a manner that shows the profile of a person who posts to integrate even controversial themes: the clarity, compassion and consideration.
4. Do not post drunk
Like any other method of nonverbal communication , posting up must be made perfectly aware, not involving alcohol. There is nothing worse than to wake up the next morning and regret what you said or did.If you make this mistake, delete pictures, comments, or conversation, although as soon as possible. You are not able to remedy the situation entirely, but you can at least improve the situation. Also, you have to expose mistakes appropriate apologies.
