Is Facebook the new friend community over MySpace?
I have to say I had just started learning about these sites within the past couple of years. My family had told me about Myspace, so thought I would try it out, and I set up a profile and music, pics, etc. And then would communicate with family and friends through there.
Slowly it seemed like not as many of my friends were there anymore, but I just figured they were too busy. But about a month ago, my son told me about Facebook, and that most everyone is on there now, so I thought, alright I will give it a try.
Much to my surprise, I do like the Facebook much better. You can communicate with your friends, your able to put pictures in place so that they can see them, emails, etc. Although your not able to decorate your profile page with a fancy skin, or set up music to it, which in the long run, I never seen any of that on my own Myspace myself, as how many of us go to our profile page except to make changes, and so I hardly ever heard the music I had sent up to play also.
Even though you don’t get these bit of extras on Facebook, it has so much better stuff. I love to play Vampire Wars, it is so cool and fun and keeps my time consumed some days. There are others as Dragon Wars, which also has some 3D effects, and Mafia Wars if more into gangster type things. Pirates of Caribbean is nice, I enjoy it, and the Street Racer for those who love cars, you can even modify the ones you purchase to your own liking somewhat.
Your also able to play around with some other small applications, like send a round of drinks, Lil green plants and flowers, blessings, angels. There are alot of different games and accessories on it. So I think it does actually make it 3x more better then Myspace, even without the fancy profile page. Since I have been using Facebook, I think I have only been onto Myspace like one or two times.
If you already don’t have an account with Facebook, I think you should take the time to check it out one day, and as soon as you play one of the games, your hooked, lol. And I am sorry to say that Myspace, your losing a big majority of your friends over to Facebook. Maybe if you try to set up some games and such as Facebook has, otherwise, I feel your long life, might turn out to be short lived.
So I do hope you check it out and compare, and let me know what you think about it…

I have both, and am new to both. My Space has a couple writing groups that are are productive, and a lot that aren’t.(Incidentally, I was warned by them to stay away from Triond [smile]). I rather like Facebook more, but I have not found any productive groups yet.

Facebook is my thing. Myspace was a bunch of weird people trying to add me as a friend.
