Facebook: Block Applications

Don’t stress over too many applications, block them.

I read an article other day, about how someone is using facebook, but they were getting tired of getting all of these applications that come to them from everyone everyday.

I was also one of these people at one time, as with me playing Vampire Wars, I have over 800 friends, but I was also getting anywhere from 20-75 applications that everyone was sending me each day. It was getting very tiring and annoying to go through and delete all, as only play Vampire Wars, and do Little Green Garden to help the rain forest, etc.  But was getting like 5-10 invites each of all the other games and causes and group invitations each day.

So I was deleting or ignoring each every day.  But then I found a simpler way to take care of the situation where they would not be coming to me each and every time.  First was trying to look in the application settings and you can delete, but found it even easier by:

When you see someone send you an application for say, Dragon Wars, and you do not want to get that, or don’t want to see 10+ invites each day, so just below where you usually see the ignore button, there is a small little link that says,  “block this application”    and if you click on this, you will get a small notice saying that this will block all applications coming from that site, “Dragon Wars”,   it does not stop that friend from sending you info on something you enjoy, or might like, but it will stop any and all info coming from that certain application and you will not see 10+ of that in your mail anymore.

I did it, and it works,  I was so thrilled to see that I did not get any the next day from one I deleted.  So it took me a few minutes, but within one day, I stopped a lot of the junk applications that I did not want.  And that made me able to spend more time enjoying what I was actually there for.

So, I hope this info will help anyone who is thinking to join Facebook, but the thought of all that junk coming in discourages them. Just nip in in the bud as soon as it starts, and your worries will be gone…..
