You loved the farm, you enjoyed the cafe, not get ready for the fish in your virtual fish tank. Get the scoop on the latest game from zynga, Fishville here.

“An addictive game where you raise cute baby fish, feed them as they grow, and decorate your fish tanks with friends!” – That’s how the offcial fan page of Fishville in Facebook describes the game. I was invited to play the latest offering from Zynga games by an arderent Virtual farmer freind from Farmville.

The fish tank is very basic and includes 20 fish to start with. You have to clean the tank when the green slime clings to the tank glass. You need to buy new fish from the store and release the eggs into the tank. These eggs hatch almost instantly and you need to feed you baby fish right away. Now depending on the type of fish you have chosen you need to wait for the baby fish to grow so that you may sell them.

To sell the fish you need to use the net to catch them and then click. They disappear from the tank and you can now replace them with fresh fish eggs from the store. There are some fast growing fish such as the Sardine (three minutes), Mini Dart Goby (five minutes), and Red Spot Cardinal (15 minutes). These allow you to gain experience faster and help move to the next level sooner.

Then there are the slow growing fish such as the Percula Clown Fish (8 hours), Hawaiian Hog Fish (12 hours) and the Scooter Blenny (24 hours) which you can leave overnight to grow from eggs to baby fish to adults. When a fish moves from one level to the next it must be fed or it will die. Also the growth time is half the life time of the fish.

For instance a Mini Dart Goby fish grows from baby to junior fish in 5 minutes, then from junior to adult fish in 15 minutes. So if you do not feed it at the different transition phases it will die. Plus if you leave it in the fish tank for longer than 30 minutes, double the growth time, it will dies. When the fish dies it floats up to the top of the tank.

Its a really sad little sight. Then you need to take the net and clear them away. This will also give you one experience point per fish. Although if you manage to sell the junior fish you can make anything from 6 to 250 experience points. So looking after the fish is a bit more tedious than the farm, but far more rewarding as well as you can really march up the levels if you take a bit of care of the fish.

They also have decorations for the fish tanks and you can either buy them at the store or get them as gifts from your friends. Everything from mossy stones, to beach balls to stone archs to light houses are to be found here. You can also add some virtual aquatic plants to your fish pond if you desire. These include Java fern, Hammer coral and many many more. All you need to do is start playing.
