Facebook is a “site” where you can meet new friends and get in touch with your old ones. I think it is good because, well, you can stay in touch with people (especially if you don’t live in the same country as them!) Here is an example of this:

• You were best friends in elementary school.
• You go off to different High Schools because you move to different countries or states) and make new friends.
• During or after High School you suddenly remember that person and wonder where he or she is and what they are up to.
• So you search their name on Facebook and find them.
• You send them a friend request and they accept it (provided they have Facebook).
• Voila!! You are now in touch with your old friend!
• You now chat with them every day or couple of days.
• You can send friend requests to your friend’s friends and get to know them.
• Soon, you have a big network of friends!!!
