Are Guru’s training people to be idiots just so it’s easier to get into their wallet?
I joined several smaller Social Networks in the hope of finding at least a few that would end up fulfilling their original goal of actually being a place where like-minded friends could share ideas and help each other. Of course since my interest lies in making money online, they end up being a pit of desperate frustrated would be marketers shoving offers in your face with any devious method they can come up with.
I am getting so many lately, that I think some Guru has trained people to invite all the friends they can just to pitch another offer in the process. Get real people! Why would I even consider taking on a partner that is this brain dead?
Making friends online is no different than making friends anywhere. These same people wouldn’t even think of running down the local mall with a handful of sticky back post-it notes slapping them on everyone’s forehead, would they? I take that back, maybe they would.
So if you want to make friends online, use a little common sense. Read their profile and see if they do have anything in common, then ask a question or make an intelligent comment. If you can’t see anything that lets you do that, CLOSE THE PAGE and go find someone you can relate with.
By the way, if you do happen to find a good business related social network that fits my ideas, let me know. That does NOT invite you to pitch me about the dozens of ‘Get Paid for What You Already Do” dens of spam zealots. Been there, done that.
I hope to enjoy meeting you online some day,
