Facebook users beware: there’s another phishing scam on the loose.
Facebook has to deal with more phishing scam that are being sent to users’ emails with prompts such as “Goldbase.be”, “Check araps.at” and “Check bests.at”. Facebook users should be warned NOT to click on the link in these emails or copy and paste it into their browsers.
It will lead you to what looks like a Facebook log-in, but in reality its a page designed to steal your log-in information. There are many phishing scams out there and users of any major website should be careful with their emails. Users of popular social sites such as Facebook, Myspace, and friendster should not log-in through pages re-directed from emails and instead should sign-in from the main site itself.
With all the phishing scams going around, everyone should be on the lookout.
