Social Networks

Safety on social networks is something extremely important, surely we have seen in the media and heard several stories by well-known problems for not taking security measures in social networks. The checkins, photos we put on social networking, everything is a double edged sword. This happened to a family in Australia, where a young man decided to upload a photo of her grandmother’s savings and hours later, received an unpleasant visit.

The Australian city, Bundanoon, was the place where a 17 year old was helping to count the savings of his grandmother, when he came like a good idea to take a picture of the stack of money and upload it to Facebook  was there, where 2 attackers found the picture (we do not know how they did) and made a family visit. Unfortunately, for the time when the assailants arrived at the house, was only the grandmother and the armed men took a small sum of money and some personal belongings of the inhabitants, the event left no casualties. We must be wary of what things we decided to get on Facebook, Twitter or other social network, have a low profile, not our new TV show or a new computer, because the attackers are always looking for victims through social networking.

Hm, it looks that the criminals are changing alongside with the other society. Now I’m really concerned that my Android phone automatically checked me in in all sorts of locations so that some bad people can figure out when to ‘pay me a visit’ :)
