Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites and allows an individual to become visible in this cyber community. However, if you are spending too much time with it and starts interfering with your day to day responsibilities then it becomes some sort of disorder.

For more than two decades, internet has changed the way we live our lives. Information that used to be difficult to find is now just right before our eyes in a few clicks. But no matter how good it gets, there’s always negative effects that comes with it.

However, if you are spending too much time with it and starts interfering with your day to day responsibilities then it becomes some sort of disorder.   2. Re-examine your priorities. Even if you make a living out of the internet, you still have priorities in life that you need to consider. If somehow you feel like derailing from your original plans, then it’s time to bring it back on track.
  3. Spend more time with friends and family to keep your mind off your computer. The less time you spend alone, the less you feel the urge to sit in front of your computer and check your Facebook account.
  4. Look for another outlet in life or learn new things. There are a lot of things that you can start doing like engaging in different sports or hobbies. Not only is it healthy, but it helps improve your personality.
  5. Set a limit in the number of hours that you can spend checking your Facebook account. Time flies when you are having fun and the only way to snap out of it is to limit yourself in front of the computer.
  6. Change your homepage and remove all the notifications in your email account that will tempt you to open and check your account at any time of the day.
  7. Instead of using the Facebook to talk to your friends, call them or send them text messages so you can reduce the amount of time you spend online.
  8. Get a pet to occupy your time at home. But make sure you can afford it and your schedule fits pet ownership.
  9. Get a girlfriend or boyfriend.
  10. Seek professional help.

Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with friends and families or meet new friends online anywhere in the world. But if you start spending too much time with it then it becomes an addiction.
