Streakr is the latest invention on the internet to bring random, weird, and wacky pages right to your browser. Competing in the same niche as Digg, Yahoo Buzz!, as well as StumbleUpon this new toolbar has some of its own techniques that it is bringing into the trade.

Its simplicity is a must for an internet browser extension such as this. Mimicking StumbleUpon’s “I Like it!” with a “Love it!” button this toolbar is designed to be usable by those who are familiar to this as well as those who are just discovering it.

Whats new in it you may ask? It has been described by many as a mix between MySpace and StumbleUpon. Although I myself have never used MySpace the “creative” and “fun” design presented by the user interface of this product is geared towards a younger audience who may be just discovering the internet.

As for me this provides another outlet to promote my writings here, on the internet. I will however, be staying with StumbleUpon as its main focus is on the social bookmarking aspect of the internet. Will social bookmarking and social networking be successful together? Only this toolbar will tell us, as time on the internet passes each day.
