Have you ever wondered how to present and show photos from your vacation, visit to a castle or any other interesting places or landscapes in a new and different way?
Microsoft Live Labs have made a tool – Photosynth, which can combine pictures you’ve taken and present them in cinematic quality. It makes a three-dimensional view out of ordinary digital photos.
Now all you have to do is to take and prepare 20 to 300 different photos that are overlapping in some areas. New service builds a three-dimensional model in a few minutes.
Results are amazing: Look at Photosynth’s web page. Those presentations are easy to implement or link to other pages.
It is free of charge, but requires the Windows Live ID. If you want to use it you have to install a small free program, which works with the online service.
The service is easy to use, and no special knowledge is required.
All you have to do is to take as many photos as you can from different angles. Reading a help file or watching the demonstration video can be very helpful.
I took pictures of my oil paintings and everything was finished in a few minutes

I will try to use this service more often to add some content on my personal web page.
