The incredible power of internet offers us immense opportunities to make ourselves understood in all cultures and make money everywhere.
The phenomenon of globalization is amazing! Every day it is easier to make friends around the world and not only in our language! Thanks to the existence of many online translation services, you can do almost everything nowadays.
In my personal case, I have a telemarketing company and suddenly, I realized one day that we could do business anywhere in the world without making a big waste of money. Business opportunities with the internet and globalization were everywhere! Of course the first obstacle (and almost the only one) was the language. Suddenly, when we uploaded our first internet site in 2000, we realized that customers were beginning to contact us from Italy or France. And at my business … no one knew how to speak Italian or French!
The first thing we did was to hire professional translators. But it costed us almost $2000 a month! Then, a friend told me: “I think that all you need is to go to some online translators, understand what your customers wants and hire a translator just to write the business letters for you! (Of course, only in the case that customers didn’t know how to speak English… the universal business language!).
I found several websites that can do an online translation (machine-based) for you. Sites like Google Language Tools or Yahoo! Babelfish or WorldLingo or InterTran are just great. With Intertran you can even translate from English to Latin and from Latin to English! (This is not very useful nowadays, but for educational and entertainment purposes it is great!) Anyway, as these systems are completely free and are performed in an automated manner, you cannot use them for serious matters, since the translation is not quite perfect.
But soon after a friend (who owns a sales company) recommended me FreeTranslators Co. I realized that the service is almost free and they have the translation you need in less than 48 hours. Actually they do a very professional job! For only 2 cents per word!. Let me share with you that I found this site very useful because I started to save money and I had no need to spend my money on expensive translators or using only the free online translators. I just think this site is excellent for the purposes I need!
There are other translators which I’ve tested, such as an agency called Lingo24 but it was too expensive (All fees were in UK Pounds!). So, for now I think it is better to use the translation tools available online and free (for basic purposes) and to hire the people from FreeTranslators Co. for serious issues.
I hope that sharing my experience in the field of translation has been useful to you. This is a proof that the barriers and frontiers in the modern world are just imaginary ones!
